NCM issues orange and yellow weather alerts across Saudi Arabia
The weather update this week warns of rainfall, strong winds, and reduced visibility
The National Centre for Meteorology (NCM) has issued orange and yellow weather alerts across Saudi Arabia, with a chance of flash floods, thunderstorms, and hail in multiple areas all over the Kingdom.
The orange and yellow weather alerts across Saudi Arabia include moderate to heavy weather accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms for the Riyadh Region, the Eastern Province, and parts of the Makkah Region.

The National Centre for Meteorology warned that severe thunderstorms may be accompanied by hail, flash flooding, and high coastal waves, while powerful convective storms could generate tornado-like funnels or waterspouts over coastal waters. The centre urged residents to follow weather updates and warnings through its official website, social media platforms, and the “Anwaa” weather application as conditions develop across the Kingdom, according to Saudi Gazette.
Winds over the Red Sea will be northwesterly to northerly at speeds of 20-50 kilometres per hour. Waves may range from one meter to two and a half meters; the sea will be calm to choppy.
