Istituto Marangoni Riyadh is opening its doors this April for a ‘Student for a Day’ initiative, giving aspiring creatives a real taste of campus life right in King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD). You’ll join live classes, meet industry experts, and explore your creativity.
Taking place on Wednesday April 8 and Thursday April 9, the open lessons are designed for anyone interested in entering the fashion or luxury sector, whether you’re seriously thinking about it or just exploring the options.

April 8: Conceptualisation to Collection in Fashion Design by IM Lecturer Alla Aljhni
This class introduces beginners to the fundamental steps of the fashion design process. Participants will learn how to develop an initial idea, gather inspiration, and translate concepts into basic sketches. The session also explains how individual designs are organised into a simple, cohesive fashion collection.
April 9: Behind the Scenes of Luxury Business by Dr. Anna Zinola, IM School & Education Director
The following day, the focus shifts to the business of luxury — unpacking what really goes on behind luxury brands. What does luxury mean today? How do companies develop products from perfumes to jewellery? During the session, participants will also examine case studies of how global brands like Hermès operate.
The best part? You don’t need any prior experience. Just curiosity.
