Where to make your Zakat Al-Fitr donations in Saudi Arabia

We’ve got you covered

Eid Al-Fitr 2026 is happening this weekend, but before that, you’ll need to memorise all the Saudi Eid Al-Fitr phrases and pay your Zakat Al-Fitr. Lucky for you, we’ve got you covered on both fronts. Here’s where you can make your Zakat Al-Fitr donations in Saudi Arabia.

What is Zakat Al-Fitr?

Zakat Al-Fitr is an obligatory charitable donation of staple food (barley, dates, rice, and more), approximately 2.5 to three kilograms or its equivalent in cash. Every Muslim with food in excess of their needs is required to pay Zakat Al-Fitr, including adults, children, and the elderly; the head of household can pay for the dependents.

It must be paid before the end of Ramadan and before the Eid Al-Fitr prayer. Payments that are made after the prayer are considered general charity and not Zakat Al-Fitr, according to the hadith. The purpose of Zakat Al-Fitr is to purify the giver’s fasts of minor sins committed during the holy month of Ramadan and to enable the needy to celebrate Eid by providing them with food. The amount to be paid this year per person is SAR18 to SAR25.
