Misusing the horn

The vehicle horn is for alerting, and its misuse is a traffic violation that will cost from SAR150 up to SAR300

Driving in an undesignated area

Driving on the shoulder of the road and on sidewalks or lanes where driving is prohibited. This is a violation that will cost you anywhere from SAR1,000 to SAR2,000.

Roundabout rules

Failure to yield to vehicles already in a roundabout when there are no traffic lights or a traffic officer directing traffic. The violation will cost you anywhere from SAR500 to SAR900.

Driving against the direction of traffic

Driving against the direction of traffic is a reckless act that exposes you and those around you to serious accidents. This will run you anywhere from SAR3,000 to SAR6,000.

Wrong parking

Parking in undesignated areas is a traffic violation. Parking the vehicle in its designated areas maintains the flow of traffic. Failure to abide by the rule will cost you anywhere from SAR100 to SAR150.

Following emergency vehicles while they are using their sirens is a traffic violation. The fine will be SAR500 to SAR900.
