Ziba Riyadh: The restaurant that will have you scrambling for a reservation
Sponsored: This one you won’t want to miss
Few restaurants generate a buzz that goes countrywide, and we believe Ziba to be high on the list. Persian flavours, high-quality ingredients, and a knack for creating simple, wow-worthy dishes—what more could one possibly want?
A name now closely associated with refined Persian dining in Riyadh, Ziba continues to captivate the city with the upcoming opening of its second branch in Al Malqa, building on the success of its Sulimaniyah location and its growing place within Saudi Arabia’s fine dining scene.
The brand’s journey first began in Khobar’s Shorofat Park back in October 2023, Ziba was an immediate favourite, hitting all the right notes and with flair, no less. What followed was not just success but true growth. A brand that was once a local favourite soon grew into a national name, admired for its consistency, identity, and ability to transform dining into something far more memorable than a meal.
Joining Riyadh’s list of culinary icons this past January, the restaurant has already made a name for itself amongst diners as one of the city’s most distinctive Persian dining destinations. From Sulimaniyah to its expanding presence in the capital, the restaurant continues to make dining out a memorable affair, thoughtfully through both atmosphere and authenticity.

The name, Ziba, means “beautiful” in Persian, and it’s truly reflected in every layer of the experience. Ziba Riyadh is designed to make you feel like you’ve just stepped into a living, breathing museum, where each detail reflects centuries of Persian craftsmanship brought to life in a contemporary setting. Luxurious textures and thoughtful design shape an immersive journey through Persia, where lighting, furnishings, and ambience are orchestrated in harmony with the cuisine. From the moment guests arrive, they are transported into a space where culture and culinary artistry exist as one.
Hospitality sits at the core of Ziba. Every touchpoint is intentional, every moment considered. From arrival to farewell, guests are invited to slow down, to savour, and to experience dining as a deeply personal journey.
With a menu built around Persian classics and a team that prioritises flavour and substance over gimmicks, the menu’s feature expression of this heritage is the Ziba Signature Khorshet, traditional Persian stews including Bamiye, Ghormeh Sabzi, and Gheymeh Bademjan. Slow-cooked lamb is prepared until exceptionally tender, achieving a delicate, melt-in-the-mouth texture that unfolds with depth, warmth, and aromatic richness in every spoonful. It is comfort refined, shaped by tradition, and delivered with elegance.

A true centrepiece of the experience is the Ziba Lamb Shoulder, slow-cooked for nine hours and delicately infused with authentic Persian spices. The meat is rendered to an exquisite tenderness, gently falling apart at the touch, each bite rich, refined, and deeply satisfying. Served alongside Persian rice prepared the Ziba way, it really is feast like no other. It’s available throughout pre-order 24 hours in advance.

Dessert becomes the final memory of this journey, lingering gently long after the last bite. Signature creations such as Zafran Milk Cake and the Narenj Brûlée Cheesecake offer a delicate balance of richness and refinement, crafted to leave a lasting impression on the palate. A place where every visit is not just an experience but an unforgettable memory.
