A new Greek dining destination has arrived at The Red Sea EDITION
The Red Sea EDITION has quietly opened its doors to anãsa, its new Greek restaurant. The limited preview runs until May 31, offering guests an early look at what could become one of Shura Island’s most talked-about tables
Some of our favourite meals at The Red Sea have been at The Red Sea EDITION, whether it’s breakfast at Central or a laid-back dinner by Jiwa Beach Club.
Now, the hotel is expanding its culinary line-up with the arrival of anãsa, a modern Greek restaurant and bar.
The Red Sea EDITION’s newest dining destination is currently welcoming diners for a limited preview until Sunday May 31, offering an early taste of the restaurant ahead of its official launch.
What to expect
Created by Saudi chef and restaurateur Basma El Khereiji, anãsa draws inspiration from the relaxed spirit of coastal Greece, bringing together fire-cooked seafood, generous sharing plates and long evenings by the sea.
Named after the Greek word for “breath”, anãsa is designed around the idea of slowing down and settling in for the evening. In Arabic, it carries the resonance of the warmth of good company and the comfort of belonging.
During the preview week, service begins around sunset, with guests moving from welcome drinks to a seafood-led dinner of sharing plates featuring fresh herbs, olive oil, and dishes cooked over a fire. The evening is accompanied by music throughout and concludes with dessert and shisha.
The kitchen is led by Executive Chef Ioannis Skoumpelos, whose experience spans acclaimed restaurants across Greece, Paris and London. Together with El Khereiji and Executive Sous Chef Alexandros Chatzichalkias, the menu focuses on honest Mediterranean cooking, celebrating quality ingredients rather than overly complicated techniques.
So, if you’re already enjoying a stay at The Red Sea, you can still book a table at anãsa before the preview draws to a close on Sunday May 31.
