Ever watched Gordon Ramsay on TV and wondered if you could recreate one of his dishes at home? Now you can.
Riyadh is now home to the world’s first Gordon Ramsay Academy outside the UK, giving food lovers across Saudi Arabia the chance to learn from the celebrity chef’s recipes and techniques without having to hop on a plane.
Located at Narjis View complex in the city’s fast-growing Narjis district, Gordon Ramsay Academy Riyadh has officially opened, offering a packed programme of hands-on cooking classes for everyone from complete beginners to budding chefs.
Whether you’re looking to sharpen your kitchen skills, impress guests at your next dinner party, or simply try something new, there’s plenty to choose from on the menu.
What to expect
The first wave of classes focuses on leisure experiences rather than professional qualifications, making it ideal for anyone looking for a fun activity with friends or family.
Expect everything from Gordon Ramsay’s signature beef Wellington and steak masterclasses to fresh pasta-making, sushi rolling, baking, East Asian cooking, family workshops and junior chef sessions for little foodies.
There will be around 20 classes each week from Tuesday to Saturday, so there are plenty of opportunities to get involved.
The academy itself is just as impressive as the class list. Spread across more than 1,000 square metres within a larger campus, the purpose-built space features three practical teaching kitchens, a demonstration kitchen where chefs can showcase techniques, dedicated preparation areas, and a dining lounge for tasting your creations once they’re finished.
And that’s not all. A second phase will introduce professional culinary training and internationally recognised qualifications for those looking to turn a passion for cooking into a career.
These courses will be accredited by Saudi Arabia’s Technical Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) and the Culinary Arts Commission, with internship and job placement opportunities also planned.
For now, though, the biggest draw is the chance to cook dishes inspired by one of the world’s best-known chefs right here in Riyadh. Whether you’ve always wanted to nail the perfect steak or finally conquer Gordon Ramsay’s signature beef Wellington, your next hobby could be waiting here.
