The legendary Ministry of Sound is coming to Riyadh

Every year, the Favourite Concert or Festival category at the What’s On Saudi Arabia Awards celebrates the Kingdom’s biggest live music events. The latest event to catch our eye? Ministry of Sound Riyadh Edition.
Yes, you read that right.
One of the world’s most iconic club brands is officially heading to the capital for the first time as part of its 35-year world tour, with Riyadh joining a select list of cities taking part in the global celebration.
The announcement was made on social media under the banner: “35 Years. 35 Cities. One Legacy.”
The one-night-only event, organised in collaboration with Desert Paradise – known for delivering large-scale underground electronic music experiences in the region, will take place on Friday August 7.
While the exact venue and artist line-up have yet to be revealed, the announcement is already generating excitement among Saudi Arabia’s growing community of electronic music fans (and the What’s On Saudi Arabia team, of course).
For the unfamiliar, Ministry of Sound is far more than just a nightclub. Founded in London in 1991, it has become one of the most influential brands in dance music culture, known for its legendary club nights, record labels, compilation albums and international events.
What to expect at the Desert Paradise x Ministry of Sound Riyadh Edition
Festival-goers can expect to be swept away as timeless dance anthems spanning house, tech house and deeper underground sounds are remixed, rearranged and reimagined, with global stars and rising talent coming together for a night of festival-scale production.
