After the conclusion of Hajj 2026, Saudi Arabia has started re-issuing Umrah visas this week after halting them for the duration of the annual pilgrimage. This is everything to know about the Umrah visa 2026 update.

According to the latest Umrah visa 2026 update, the Kingdom has stated that the entry of pilgrims into Saudi Arabia began on Sunday Dhul Hijjah 14, corresponding to May 31 for the new Umrah season.

Umrah visa 2026 update

According to the Umrah season calendar 1448 AH, released by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah recently, pilgrims will be able to enter Makkah and obtain Umrah permits through the Nusuk application beginning Monday June 1, according to Saudi Gazette.

The ministry called on Umrah service-providing companies and overseas agents to adhere to the approved schedule and comply with all regulations and instructions issued by the ministry to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to pilgrims throughout the season.

Has Saudi Arabia begun issuing Umrah visas?

Visa issuance began  on Sunday May 31, corresponding to 14 Dhu Al Hijjah 1447 AH, with the ministry stating that service provider contracts and package designs are being completed through the electronic platform. Under the calendar, pilgrims holding Umrah visas will be allowed to enter Makkah and receive permits starting Monday June 1.

The announcement of the key post-Hajj 2026 Umrah visa and travel dates also includes Tuesday March 9, 2027, as the final deadline for issuing Umrah visas. While Tuesday March 23, 2027 has been announced as the last date for pilgrim entry into Saudi Arabia and April 7, 2027, as the deadline for pilgrim departures.

The new calendar has been announced to make preparations for the pilgrims under an integrated system of services and care.
