The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power
Big news for the “LOTR” universe. Prime Video brings to screens for the very first time the heroic legends of the fabled Second Age of Middle-Earth’s history. This epic drama is set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. It will take viewers back to an era in which great powers were forged, kingdoms rose to glory and fell to ruin, unlikely heroes were tested, hope hung by the finest of threads, and the greatest villain that ever flowed from Tolkien’s pen threatened to cover all the world in darkness. Beginning in a time of relative peace, the series follows an ensemble cast of characters, both familiar and new, as they confront the long-feared re-emergence of evil on Middle-Earth. From the darkest depths of the Misty Mountains and the majestic forests of the elf-capital of Lindon to the breathtaking island kingdom of Númenor and the furthest reaches of the map, these kingdoms and characters will carve out legacies that live on long after they are gone.

When twin brothers (Cameron and Nicholas Crovetti) arrive at their mother’s (Naomi Watts) country home to discover her face covered in bandages – the result, she explains, of recent cosmetic surgery – they immediately sense that something doesn’t add up. She sets strange new house rules, smokes in her bathroom, and secretly rips up a drawing they gave her –things their loving mother would never do. As her behaviour grows increasingly bizarre and erratic, a horrifying thought takes root in the boys’ minds: The sinking suspicion that the woman beneath the gauze, who’s making their food and sleeping in the next room, isn’t their mother at all.

Abby’s investigation leads her to some startling discoveries – that Gretchen is possessed by a supernatural being. With the help of a mall exorcist Christian Lemon (Christopher Lowell), Abby must do everything possible to save her friend from this paranormal force before it is too late. The film is set to sneak in just in time for Halloween.
