The football megastar will join on a two-and-a-half-year contract…

In an iconic new signing, Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo is set to join Riyadh’s Al Nassr Football Club, after leaving Manchester United in November 2022.

The five-time Ballon D’or winner will join the Saudi Professional League (SPL) club on a two-and-a-half-year contract after completing formalities at Mrsool Park, Riyadh within the next few days. He will of course be playing in the legendary number seven shirt.

Ronaldo is looking forward to returning to the sport and leaving Europe for the first time in his career.

The 37-year-old added: “I am excited to experience a new football league in a different country. The vision of what Al Nassr are doing and developing in Saudi Arabia both in terms of men’s and women’s football is very inspiring. I am looking forward to joining my new teammates and together with them help the Club to achieve success.”

After the Saudi Arabian national team’s sensational 2-1 win against the FIFA World Cup Qatar winners, Argentina, we look forward to witnessing more historical moments for the Kingdom and the rest of the Middle East.

More about Al Nassr FC…

Al Nassr, which means ‘victory’ in Arabic, was the first ever club to represent Saudi Arabia on a global level. As it stands, Al Nassr FC is at the top of the league table with both the men’s and women’s teams.

Al Nassr Football Club’s first game of the year is taking place on Thursday, January 5 against Al-Ta’ee.
