Football fans, get excited: the first home and away jersey from the adidas x Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) has just dropped. Available to buy from tomorrow, Thursday March 23, there are home and away jerseys for both the mens and women’s national teams. Both jerseys are priced at SAR499.
The design for the home jersey, the first offering from a four-year partnership between adidas and SAFF, is a smart racing green with smart gold accents. Inspired by the palm tree featured in the national emblem, the home jersey has been designed to reflect Saudi Arabia’s growth and prosperity.
Both the men’s and women’s national team will sport the palm-tree inspired design when playing on home turf, although there’s a slightly different variation. It’s a well timed release for the women’s team home jersey, as the Saudi Arabian women’s national team have this week become an official FIFA ranked nation for the first time in their history.
When the Saudi football teams are playing away, they’ll sport a white away jersey. This is also tied to the Saudi Arabian colours, with dark green sleeves inspired by the country’s flag, and three gold stripes, instantly recognisable as adidas’ signature stripes.
As well as being stylish ways to support our national teams, the Green Falcon’s home and away kits are practical too. Both feature sweat-wicking, moisture absorbent technology and specially placed mesh inserts for breathability, ensuring the all-important football stars are able to play their finest game.
