Stop and smell the roses at the Taif of Roses Festival 2023
The event starts later this month…
It’s springtime here in Saudi Arabia, and that means Taif will be seeing some stunning blooms of bright pink roses. The Taif of Roses Festival 2023 celebrates these blooms in a two-week-long festival.
Happening from Friday April 21 until Friday May 5, the festival is organised by the Ministry of Culture.

Taif is known to be the leading producer of rose fragrances in the Middle East according to Arab News, including scents by Jimmy Choo and Givenchy. So, it’s safe to say that this festival is one of the best-smelling areas in the country.
Taif of Roses Festival 2023 is set to feature a parade of roses through the streets of Taif to Al-Raddaf Park. The festival will also feature a ton of exciting events which include a light show, a market and a children’s zone.

Local chefs will also be joining in on the fun and creating dishes which feature the coveted Taif roses too. The Ministry of Culture has been hosting the event alongside the Taif Municipality and under the patronage of the Makkah Government for two years now officially. And it’s definitely something you need to check out sometime soon.
Previously, the Taif of Roses festival has had 13 sections with 50 live performances, folkloric dances from all over Saudi Arabia, and zones for aspiring Saudi artists to showcase their artworks called Cultural Street and Drawing Exhibit.
The festival even achieved a world record for the largest flower basket at 12 meters long, almost 8 meters wide and 1.3 meters tall.
