It’s time to discover the Chinese capital with Saudi Arabian Airlines…
If the capital of China has always been on your travel bucket list, we’ve got good news for you. Saudia, the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, has launched new direct flights connecting Riyadh and Jeddah with Beijing.
As reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the inaugural flight from Jeddah to Beijing took off on Friday August 4, followed by the direct flight from Riyadh to Beijing on Sunday August 6.
These new routes provide around 165 million people in northern China with direct access to the Kingdom, boosting mutual tourism and strengthening the growing international cooperation between Saudi Arabia and global aviation markets.

Saudia will operate two direct flights from Terminal 1 of King Abdulaziz International Airport to Daxing International Airport in Beijing every Monday and Friday. The flight departs from Jeddah at 1.15am (local time) and arrives in Beijing at 4.50pm (local time), with the journey taking around ten hours and 35 minutes.
Meanwhile, passengers from Riyadh can also directly travel to the Chinese capital every Sunday and Wednesday. It will be a nine-hour-and-30-minute flight, and the service will run direct non-stop from Terminal 4 of King Khalid International Airport at 2.20am (local time) to Daxing International Airport, arriving at 4.50pm (local time) in Beijing.
Previously, the southern city of Guangzhou was the only destination for passengers visiting China from Saudi Arabia. Over the last seven months, Saudia has introduced as many as 25 new destinations, with the latest launch being the first air route between Saudi Arabia and the Chinese capital.
We say, it’s about time we explore the Forbidden City or walk along the famous Great Wall of China…
