AlUla Trail Race is returning in 2024

Get ready to test your limits and run through the beautiful landscape of AlUla with breathtaking designated trail routes that pass by the most famous landmarks. The AlUla Trail Race 2024 is happening next month, and here’s everything you need to know.
Kicking off on January 11 and going on until January 12, the race is introducing a range of races suitable for people of all ages and physiological limits.

From a 100-kilometre Sharaan Trail ultramarathon to the 50-kilometre Hegra Trail ultramarathon, the Elephant Rock Trail 25-kilometre half marathon, the Oasis Trail 10-kilometre fun run, and a 1.4-kilometre kids’ run, the event promises an inclusive and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
Rami Almoallim, Vice President of Destination Management and Marketing at the Royal Commission for AlUla says, “This year’s AlUla Trail Race is more than just an event; it’s a celebration of AlUla’s natural wonders and our ambition to transform the city into an exceptional sporting destination where the spirit of adventure, determination, and camaraderie thrive.”
The two-day run is not only a chance to test out your physical capabilities but also a way to explore some of AlUla’s prized landmarks, like the world’s largest mirrored building, Maraya, Elephant Rock, and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hegra. All participants should be over five years old.
The AlUla Trail Race 2024 is expected to host over 1,500 local and international professional runners and tourists during the race weekend.
