This is the first exhibition that sheds light on the multifaceted career and dedication that anchored Fanous as a design pioneer. It includes a selection of Fanous’ unique architectural designs and works by artists and architects inspired by his practice. Fittingly, his works are showcased in a building he designed, the Fenaa Alawwal, a cultural landmark in the Diplomatic Quarter.

ERGA takes place every weekend in the now-defunct Irqah Hospital and is an audio-visual spectacular where the music takes you on a mental sonic trip across various sounds and styles. Featuring two separate dance floors known as The Ward and The ER, its location is the most dystopian one ever seen. Headlining the night will be Mahmut Orhan, alongside all-time favourites Dish Dash, Loush, Misha, DJ Ush and Rag. Get ready to be warded and pump up the volume for ERGA’s sick curators.

Recently ranked among MENA’s Best Restaurants, Lunch Room serves up a killer brunch, with all-day dishes spanning treats from the “Market” section, which includes a variety of salads; the “Clay Oven” section with 48-hour sourdough flatbread; the “Panouzzi” section; the “Ode to Egg” section; the “Sweet Instinct” section; and the “Coffee Commune” section, which offers delicious baked goods. Kick things off with crispy artichoke and pide bread with gaymar and honeycomb. It gets better (if you can believe that), with main dishes, including baked halloumi with panouzzo, Mugalgal eggs and, the jewel in its crown, egg appam with coconut sambal. Finally, we highly recommend you round things off with something sweet, such as its brioche French toast with poached pear and vanilla mascarpone.
