The card’s main event will be a five-round bout at middleweight between former champion Robert Whittaker and Khamzat Chimaev. According to UFC CEO Dana White, the winner of the headline clash will qualify for the UFC middleweight championship, currently held by Dricus du Plessis.
In addition to Whittaker-Chimaev as the main event, the first UFC Saudi show will feature several champions of various weights, including a top-10 heavyweight clash between Sergei Pavlovich and Alexander Volkov.
The card also features a welterweight battle between former UFC title challenger Kelvin Gastelum and Daniel Rodriguez, with both men hoping to get back into the winning column.
Dynamic Brazilian light heavyweight Johnny Walker returns to face former title challenger Volkan Oezdemir in what should be an explosive affair as both look to advance their own claims for a title shot.
Last but not least, undefeated Shara Magomedov makes his sophomore Octagon appearance and will face Ihor Potieria.
