Careem launches flexible car sharing in Riyadh

Careem’s is already Saudi Arabia’s go-to app for hailing a ride, food delivery, home cleaning and picking things up via Careem bike. But now the Everything App is adding another string to its bow: CarSharing.
Through a collaboration with ekar, Careem car sharing gives travellers in Riyadh access to a new, more sustainable transport model, allowing them to hire cars in an instant. Whether you’re wanting to book a car while you run errands for an hour, need to keep your car hire for several days, or you’re looking to rent a vehicle for several weeks, you have the option to hire one for as little or long as you like. There’s a diverse fleet of vehicles to pick from based on your requirements, including SUVs, family cars and sedans.
Easy to book, keyless unlocking, and flexible start and end locations have all been implemented to make hiring a car as quick and seamless as possible. You simply pay for your vehicle hire through Careem pay, too.
For now, Careem CarSharing is only available to those living and visiting Riyadh, but it’s set to be rolled out in other cities across the Kingdom soon.
