Cathay Pacific to launch direct flights between Riyadh and Hong Kong
Here’s a travel inspo for you…
Planning to keep the travel streak going this year? If so, let Cathay Pacific’s latest announcement inspire you. Hong Kong’s flag carrier is set to introduce flights between Riyadh and the vibrant metropolitan city of Asia, with effect from Monday October 28.
The new flights will be operated by a modern Airbus A350-900 aircraft, featuring Business, Premium Economy, and Economy cabins.
Those looking to discover Hong Kong can look forward to a three-weekly service on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Passengers will be able to jet off from Riyadh at 10.15pm (local time) from Terminal 1 of King Khalid International Airport and arrive in Hong Kong at 11.10am (local time) the following day, with the journey taking just under eight hours.
Meanwhile, the return flight will take ten hours and ten minutes. The service will run direct non-stop from Terminal 1 of Hong Kong Airport at 3.05pm (local time), arriving in Riyadh at 8.15pm (local time).
Return fare starts from SAR3,368 for economy light, which includes meals and a 23-kilogram check-in baggage.
Unlike any other Asian city
From conquering mountain trails to exploring neon-lit streetscapes, Hong Kong offers myriad experiences. Visit ancient temples and glistening skyscrapers, then dip into bustling street markets before decamping to seaside villages to discover its diverse cultures, culinary excellence, and people.
You’ll absolutely love the contrast between the peninsula’s famous skyline and surrounding lush peaks dotted with swimming beaches and subtropical flora, too.
And thanks to a wonderfully efficient transportation system, you can spend the morning shopping in the Causeway Bay neighbourhood and noshing on dim sum in Sheung Wan, before escaping to Hong Kong Disneyland or Big Wave Bay for an afternoon of surf and sun.
Across the waters, you can explore Hong Kong Island and the Kowloon Peninsula, which is as easy as hopping on a ferry. But don’t miss a visit to at least one (if not several) of the city’s lesser-visited islands – there are 261 islands in total.
So, whether you’re visiting the compact, skyscraper-packed city for the first time or are a seasoned traveller, be sure to book the ticket and take the direct flight from Riyadh.
Soon, you can tick off your Hong Kong travel bucket list.
