After Maraya Social in AlUla, meet Marina Social Jeddah
The Red Sea City just got a brand-new venue…
Globally celebrated chef Jason Atherton has just opened up his second restaurant in the Kingdom. After a successful restaurant opening in AlUla, he’s opening a second, aptly named, Marina Social Jeddah.
Setting up shop in Jeddah Yacht Club on the Red Sea, Marina Social Jeddah is one of the first Mediterranean fine dining restaurants in the city.

The restaurant focuses on social interaction, excellence and gracious hospitality. Indulge yourself into a world of flavours on the menu, and culinary creativity with a selection of artfully crafted mocktails.
Like its counterpart in AlUla, the restaurant delivers an informal and social setting where the ambience is just as vibrant as the food. The swanky restaurant oozes cushy comfort in every nook and cranny perfectly poised against the backdrop of the stunning panoramic views of the Marina overlooking luxury yachts and a range of fashion stores and restaurants.
The menu features everything from steak tartare, seabass ceviche and whipped burrata with honey-glazed figs for apps, seared yellowfin tuna, Angus ribeye, grilled octopus and wagyu beef sliders for mains and finally coconut rice pudding to poached pears with raspberry sorbet and berries.

The new restaurant is a collaboration between the British chef and Saudi businessman Abdelkarim Abbar. Opening his first restaurant in AlUla back in 2021, Jason Atherton also opened another venue in the Middle East, a teeny spot in Dubai that only seats about 22 people.
After a successful sweep of Michelin stars across all three of his venues, we can only imagine what the Jeddah spot has in store.
