Saudi Arabia is getting a Trump Tower
Look forward to a towering glass skyscraper…
Get ready for a stunning addition to the skyline. Jeddah will be home to the first Trump Tower in Saudi Arabia.
The new tower will be developed in collaboration with the Trump Organization and Dubai-based luxury property developer Dar Global.
If completed, it appears the Jeddah tower would be the Trump Organization’s first major project in Saudi Arabia. It also marks Dar Global’s first foray into Jeddah, which has largely operated internationally as the global arm of Saudi mega-developer Dar Al Arkan.
No further details about the exact location and timeline have been disclosed. But here’s what we know so far about the towering skyscraper.
According to the official statement, the new Trump Tower in Jeddah will be marketed as a world-class development that targets the luxury segment of the Saudi Arabian market and international investors. It is also anticipated to blend modern luxury with the city’s rich cultural heritage. The project promises to redefine the local real estate landscape and establish a new level of exclusivity and luxury living in Saudi Arabia.
If Trump’s other towers were to set the template for this upcoming one in Jeddah, think: build tall, wrap it in dark glass, don’t skimp on the brass, bronze, or anything else golden, and put the ten gold letters bearing Mr Trump’s name atop the entrance.
It will undoubtedly be a signature landmark residential and commercial complex that cuts a striking pose in the city’s skyline.
Eric Trump, Executive Vice President of The Trump Organization, said, “This collaboration embodies our shared vision of creating landmark developments that exude luxury, quality, and sophistication. Together with Dar Global, we are setting new benchmarks for excellence, aiming to meet the demand for iconic properties in key markets.”
Trump Tower Jeddah is the Trump Organization’s second venture in the region with Dar. The project announcement comes days after unveiling a $500 million Trump International hotel project within the AIDA development in Oman. Set to open in December 2028, it will include a golf course and members-only club.
Other building projects in Jeddah:
Jeddah Tower
The Jeddah Tower is on track to become the tallest building in the world, surpassing by nearly 200 metres the Burj Khalifa. The design is rooted in the symbolism of Saudi Arabia while looking toward the future by being technologically expressive. Its slender, subtly asymmetrical massing evokes the new growth of palm fronds shooting upward from the land – a symbol of new life heralding future growth for the Kingdom. Jeddah Tower is expected to be a mixed-use building, offering both residential, commercial, and office space. There will also be an observation deck (currently planned to be the world’s tallest) and a 98-foot-diameter outdoor balcony initially designed as a helipad.
Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Jeddah at the Corniche
For those seeking an elevated living experience, you can soon live permanently in the most impressive collections of homes in Jeddah. Set to open in 2025, the new-build coastal retreat will feature four towers, housing a 247-key hotel, 21 serviced apartments for short- and long-term stays, and 64 exclusive private residences, including two penthouses. Pretty cool: Suspended bridges connecting the towers, each stretching 60 metres and housing eight floors, are part of the property’s state-of-the-art design.
JW Marriot Hotel Jeddah
Located on the Jeddah Corniche, this 280-room property will feature stylish accommodations and facilities such as a swimming pool, a fitness centre, the luxurious Spa by JW, and more than 1,100 square metres of meetings and events facilities. When it opens, JW Marriott Hotel Jeddah will also have several dining destinations, including JW Glass Garden – a greenhouse dining space complemented by a plethora of fresh, organic produce grown on-site and sourced from local farms.
Regent Jeddah
The Middle Eastern debut of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ Regent Hotels will see Regent Jeddah open in mid-2024, bringing next-level hospitality to the Saudi coastal city. Regent Jeddah will be set on the picturesque corniche, and offer wow-worthy views of the Jeddah Corniche Circuit. A collection of 182 elegant rooms will offer unrivalled beachfront splendour, inviting guests to unwind in stunning surrounds and soak up scenic sea views. For sumptuous wellness, an expansive Raison d’Etre spa will welcome guests to enjoy the latest therapies and wellness treatments, and will be complemented by a health club and both indoor and outdoor pools. Catering to the discerning gourmand, three concept eateries and lounges promise unforgettable epicurean experiences.
