Craft burger brand Black Tap is opening in Jeddah
The New York sensation is bringing its bougie burgers and over-the-top milkshakes to the city…
In case you missed it, Black Tap is looking to shake up Jeddah’s burger scene. While no opening date for Black Tap Jeddah has been confirmed, the gourmet burger joint will be located at Lapaz Plaza.
Black Tap premieres its first KSA location in Riyadh in 2022 in the heart of King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD). Following the resounding success of its operation, it came as no surprise that Black Tap Riyadh won the ‘Favourite Burger’ category at the What’s On Awards 2023.

Not familiar with the New York-born burger chain? Its over-the-top, candy-festooned milkshakes and an action-packed array of bougie burgers have seen it become one of the most ‘Grammable burger spots out there. Couple that with the retro American diner feel, inspired by the energy of downtown New York and pumping playlist, and you’ve got yourself an award-winning burger joint.
The new Jeddah outpost will draw on the brand’s roots while featuring distinct art elements and collaborations that speak to what’s unique in that locale. Think neon signs, graffiti art, and a graphic black-and-white floor, making it the perfect spot for your next Instagram snap.
On the menu, you can expect a range of selections – from the classic American cheeseburgers like The Texan, a beef patty with cheddar cheese, crisp onion ring, and mayo, to more inventive options, such as one inspired by a Philly cheesesteak and another featuring arugula, buttermilk dill and blue cheese.
Still, the star of the show at Black Tap is the array of whimsical, calorific CrazyShakes topped with everything from popcorn and cotton candy to slices of cheesecake, served from a dedicated CrazyShake bar where diners can see how those mega shakes are created.
