According to the municipality, the contracts aim to step up Riyadh’s road quality and make commuting around the city a safe experience for everyone involved. It also aims to improve the efficiency and sustainability of travel within the city.
The city will be divided into five zones, including the north, south, east, west, and central zones, to determine priority areas according to precise standards after a complete survey of the capital’s roads and streets. This will be done using the latest technologies to consider the quality of existing roads, safety standards, maintenance work, and coordination with other entities in the city.
