The day that Lazy Cat reopens in Laysen Valley, and in turn marks the arrival of its fluffy Japanese pancakes and its indulgent crispy chicken muffin, is a fine day indeed. Luckily for us, you can now enjoy them throughout the week thanks to its all-day menu, served Sunday to Saturday for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Don’t forget to order its famous blue matcha, too.

Celebrate Indian culture at Al-Suwaidi Park

Riyadh Season’s Al-Suwaidi Park is back. This year, the Al-Suwaidi Festival, which includes nine cultures over 49 days, will take you on a journey around the world through traditional foods, music, dances, and handicrafts. This week will start off with the rich tapestry of Indian culture through a plethora of activities, from colourful parades and captivating performances to unique Indian flavours and lively bazaars.

Gear up for a great time at Akira Back

For a new food haunt to dine at this week, check out Akira Back. The food here, described as Japanese cuisine with Korean accents, is largely delectable and good for sharing. Chow down plates of the signature tuna pizza, the baked crab hand roll, or miso black cod, while you sip on creative mocktails.

World Food Day takes place annually on October 16, and this year’s theme, “Right to foods for a better life and a better future”, spotlights the importance of diversity, nutrition, affordability, accessibility, as well as the safety and sustainability of foods. To help raise awareness about how a greater diversity of nutritious foods should be easily available for the benefit of all, the RWG Community is organising a picnic at the Oasis Park, in which you’ll get to partake in a talk on the importance of eating well for dental health, a 20-minute seated yoga practice, followed by a feast featuring foods from all over the world.

BLVD World

This season’s Boulevard World returns on Sunday October 13, bigger and better than ever before. And tickets are now available via webook.com, priced at SAR20 for weekday tickets and SAR30 for weekends. Like previous years, culture is at the core of Boulevard World’s sprawling site, with more than a dozen pavilions dedicated to different countries and regions.
