It takes a village…

Looking for a Riyadh mum’s group to try for you and your little ones? Whether you are new to Saudi Arabia or looking for a little support, mummy meet-ups can be a great way to get out there and make some friends.

Plus, we all know how important it is for our kids to socialise with other little ones. But it’s just as important for us mums (and dads) to have play dates, too. We’ve found some of the best coffee mornings and social meet-ups in the city. Read on to find your mum tribe.

Mother Tongue, a Dubai-based, all-inclusive podcast on parenting journey, is organising its first Mother Tongue Mummy event in Riyadh on Monday November 4. It will be hosted by expat mama duo Maryanne Peacock, who’s the founder of Mother Tongue and based in Dubai, and Riyadh-based Frankie Hilton. There will be shopping, lots of fabulous food from Spinneys, interactive stations, a much-needed Mama pampering corner, a dedicated kids’ zone with a baby sensory area, plus incredible goodie bags and prizes to be won.

Who is it aimed at?

Mums, along with babies and children of all ages, are welcome. This event is all about helping mums connect, meet new friends, and find their community here in Riyadh. Free entry for children under five.

Babies, Bumps, Brunch & Bouquets

What’s on offer:

Mum’s Way by certified birth and postpartum doula Yasmine Tracy Algosaibi offers a range of services to support expectant parents, including childbirth ​education, labour support, postpartum care, and breastfeeding support. Calling all lovely mums – take a well deserved break from the daily hustle and join Mum’s Way first community event on Friday November 15 for a rejuvenating meetup of self-care and connection. Are you a mum looking for a supportive community and fun activities for your children? Look no further than Diddy Dots Baby & Toddler Group. Its weekly playdates are the perfect place for mums to connect and for children to participate in engaging sensory story time and activities. It is a super-fun creative outlet for little ones, with everything from singing and dancing to story time and lots of sensory activities, which are great for exploratory learning with bubbles, songs, and music. Not only will your child’s creativity and imagination be stimulated, but you’ll also have the opportunity to make meaningful connections with other mums in Riyadh.

Who is it aimed at?

Mums (and dads) who are looking to broaden their social circle and bond with their kids. The sessions are divided into three groups: Ditsy Dots (SAR65) for four-month-old to beginner walkers, Polka/Family Dots (SAR65) for six-month-old to five years, and Journey Through Tales (SAR70) for four-month-old to five years.
