Riyadh's newest landmark will have two luxe hotel brands: Raffles and Sofitel
These accommodations will be part of the AlYasmeen project by Erth Real Estate…
Too many new hotels in Riyadh? Never. The city already has its fair share of some of the best hotels, but it sure can’t hurt to have more.
The new openings, especially new hotel brands entering the market, will make Saudi Arabia more competitive globally and, hence, an attractive choice for travellers.
To add more buzz, Erth Real Estate has announced at the region’s leading real estate event, Cityscape Global 2024, that it will open new hotels in Riyadh as part of a new master-planned development project.
The premium real estate developer in Saudi Arabia is behind the AlYasmeen Project, a mixed-use development located on King Fahad Road in the AlYasmeen district.
The project, which spans an impressive 60,000 square meters, will feature office and residential towers as well as retail space, including a shopping centre, restaurants, and entertainment activities – all built around a centrally located garden area.
Touted as the future business and recreation hub, it will also include luxury accommodations – a 230-key Raffles hotel and a 250-key Sofitel serviced residence, making it a prime destination for both business and leisure.
Raffles Riyadh and Sofitel Extended Stay will reside within the AlYasmeen Project’s 34-storey and 42-storey sparkling glass towers, respectively. These towers, designed by Foster + Partners, will create an iconic presence in the city’s skyline. Both buildings will also be surrounded by ample green space, including lush gardens.

With hotel brands expanding their footprints here, Riyadh will also be home to an MGallery Hotel Collection property. Set to open by 2027, MGallery Resort Riyadh, only 20 minutes away from the city centre, will be developed by Erth Real Estate in the Al-Waseel District, ensconced in a wadi enveloped by date farms.
With 60 low-rise villas, the new MGallery offers guests the chance to discover the culture and immerse themselves in the vibrant neighbourhood. It provides sumptuous resort-style villas and the luxury of feeling like a home away from home – perfect for business and leisure travellers, particularly those who wish to settle in and stay a little longer.
Meanwhile, in Jeddah, there’s the Raffles Hotel and Residences Jeddah project, which combines modern architecture with luxury, with Red Sea frontage and luxurious designs. A mix of hotel rooms, branded residents, elevated dining and luxury shopping, the modern building will house 182 guest rooms, which will begin at a generously sized 67 square metres. The aesthetic promises to be stylish and contemporary, with rich Hejazi heritage and tradition.
