The Saudi Cup returns to Riyadh on these dates in 2025

Recognised as the world’s most valuable horse race, The Saudi Cup is racing back next month for its sixth edition. The Saudi Cup 2025 is set to raise the stakes and bring an even bigger spectacle to the capital.
Happening from Friday February 21 and Saturday February 22 at King Abdulaziz Racecourse, The Saudi Cup will boast a prize fund worth over US$38.1M on offer.

The weekend will be a celebration of the best of Saudi sporting, entertainment, cuisine, and cultural experiences, headlined by the World’s Richest Race, the Saudi Cup where US$20M is on offer.
Day one features a stellar evening of eight top-class races, headlined by the world’s top jockeys—seven men and seven women—competing for the Invest Saudi International Jockey Challenge trophy over four races The race programme starts with the Mosef Fillies Mile, the new Saudia Sarawat Cup run over 1200m; the Lucid Tuwaiq Cup, an exciting contest over 1800m held on the dirt; and the Group 1 $1.5m Ministry of Culture Al Mneefah Cup.
Day two will, of course, see the main event of the weekend, The Saudi Cup, followed by a further eight races, which include the Ministry of Culture Jockey Club Local Handicap; the Group 1 Diriyah Gate Development Authtickets here. ority Obaiya Arabian Classic run by Purebred Arabian horses; the $2m Howden Neom Turf Cup; the $2.5M Longines Red Sea Turf Handicap, the $1.5m Boutique Group Saudi Derby, the National Housing Commission Saudi International Handicap, the Sports Boulevard Riyadh Dirt Sprint and the much loved Saudi National Bank 1351 Turf Sprint.
Off the track, you can also look forward to traditional folk performances, contemporary acts, live DJs, and two innovative art experiences, “Window of Culture” and “Luminous Patterns.” An Al Berdakh experience which offers handicrafts, and live Saudi music experiences that introduce visitors to Saudi culture through a virtual reality encounter on Snapchat. The 100 Brands fashion exhibition will also make a return to the race site.
