Major American rapper Akon to perform in Jeddah this month
The star will be joining the Jeddah E-Prix lineup…
The Jeddah E-Prix lineup is getting more and more fierce as we get closer to D-Day. Joining the likes of Lil Baby, Disco Misr, and Miami Band, the exact date for the Akon Jeddah E-Prix performance is yet to be announced.
Happening from Friday February 14 until Saturday February 15, the Jeddah E-Prix is set to race on a shortened version of Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah Corniche Circuit during the 2024-25 season, the same track which has been used for Formula 1 races.

Known mononymously as Akon, the rap star is a Senegalese-American singer, songwriter, rapper, record producer, businessman, and philanthropist who shot to fame after the release of his single “Locked Up” (featuring Styles P). Afterwards, Akon released his debut studio album, Trouble, which became his breakthrough into mainstream music. The star followed up the success with R&B-styled single “Lonely” the following year.
The Formula E will return to Saudi Arabia for another thrilling race under the stars next year for its first double-header at this brand-new location, and we cannot wait to watch it all unfold with the breathtaking Red Sea as the most picturesque backdrop. Previously, Formula E would be hosted in Riyadh’s historic area, Diriyah.
Tickets to watch the race and the post-race concerts have already been revealed and start at SAR70 for one-day access in general admission, SAR115 for two-day access for the same tier, and SAR170 for two-day access in the grandstand. One-day access to the grandstand will cost SAR100.
