Egypt's beloved Dara's Ice Cream is now open in Jeddah

Sweet dreams are made of this. One of Egypt’s most prized possessions, Dara’s Ice Cream, is now officially open in the Red Sea city, just in time for the amazing Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. If you’re anything like us, you keep your sweets close and your ice cream even closer. Here are all the reasons Dara’s Ice Cream Jeddah should be on your must-try list.
Arriving in Jeddah just a week ago, the ice cream store first opened its doors in Riyadh last year, and is expected to land in Dammam fairly soon. Decked out in photos of sweet treats from all over, the parlour has set up shop in the La Paz Plaza.

Dara’s Ice Cream has previously travelled to Italy and Beirut. The speciality ice cream store was founded in 2017 by Dara Ghosheh and her husband, Ahmed Khalil. In just five years, the two have opened eight ice cream parlours in Cairo and on the Mediterranean coast. The ice cream is exclusively made in-house with all-natural and real ingredients.
The motto of the brand is “scooping happiness,” and with the big smiles customers leave with, we can’t help but think it’s true. Currently, popular flavours include honeycomb, Belgian chocolate, and caramelized almonds.
And while its prices tend to go a little higher than your typical ice cream stores, here, you’re paying for the quality and the care with which each batch of ice cream is prepared.
