All the things that we’re loving in Saudi Arabia right now

Don’t we all love a good recommendation?

Here at What’s On, we are all about sharing great experiences and products, so we’ve compiled this list of things that we’re currently obsessing over. Here are all the things that we’re loving in Saudi Arabia right now.

NOFOMO, your premier source for music events across Saudi Arabia

NOFOMO

Want to get access to this summer’s most anticipated events? No more FOMO with the NOFOMO app. If you haven’t heard, it’s the official ticketing hub for this summer’s biggest events in nightlife, culture, and gaming, including ticket access to events at the Onyx Arena and AFT_r: the E-sports World Cup afterparty in Riyadh.

Built by and for the next generation of Saudi creatives, NOFOMO is a digital gateway into the Kingdom’s diverse scenes, providing access to curated pop-ups, live music events, e-sport championships, and collaborations with local, regional, and international DJs, artists, and collectives.

With a user-friendly design focused on event discovery, the NOFOMO app allows users to stay informed about upcoming events, offering real-time updates, mobile ticketing, and a curated feed of cultural events across the Kingdom. Available on iOS and Android, it is quickly becoming the preferred platform for Saudi Arabia’s cultural scene — from underground parties to large-scale shows.

The beautiful scallop rose from Myazu

Myazu Riyadh

Homegrown institution Myazu has continued to live up to its hype even after nearly five years since its opening in Riyadh. The creative menu, executed with finesse by the culinary team, is what draws people here. But it’s the top-notch service and stunning setting that also keep them coming back time and again. The perfect spot to catch up with a friend or gear up for a night out with a group.

I recently visited Myazu – two days in a row, I might add – and I nearly forgot how well-rounded the dining experience here is. While I do love almost everything on the menu (it’s as dynamic and intriguing as the changing seasons), I must admit that lately, my favourite has been the seasonal special scallop rose that melts like butter in my mouth. Beautifully plated and arranged to resemble a rose, the scallops are as fresh as a daisy, the texture sublime, and the earthy notes of the yuzu-truffle dressing extraordinary. Highly recommended.

A summer-exclusive dinner safari and projection show in AlUla

Want to experience the region’s first canyon projection show? Check out The AlUla Story | Dinner Safari & Projection Show, a limited-time immersive evening event set deep within the protected Sharaan Nature Reserve. Designed to be unlike any other safari, The AlUla Story takes guests on a cinematic adventure through time, narrated not by voice but through a lively sand animation and light cast upon the sandstone walls.

The journey starts in the golden-hour light as guests are picked up from their respective hotels in AlUla in a luxurious Land Rover Defender 130, guided by Platinum Heritage’s expert Conservation Guides. As the convoy winds through the untouched wilderness of Sharaan, guests will have the chance to learn about millennia-old petroglyphs and ancient canyons while listening to local folklore vividly brought to life.

Upon arriving at a secluded, lantern-lit desert camp, the scene transforms into a magical oasis. Enjoy a four-course South African-inspired braai, featuring flame-grilled meats, seasonal vegetables, and indulgent desserts, all served beneath the stars.

As the night deepens, the AlUla Story unfolds in a spectacular fusion of projection, sand, and shadow. Towering canyon walls become a living screen, telling the tale of our planet and AlUla’s unique place within it. The evening then closes with a guided stargazing session led by an astronomer around a glowing bonfire.
