Meet Amansamar, Aman’s exclusive branded residences in Wadi Safar
Each residence will have five to six bedrooms, positioned along cliffs and desert terrain
If you’re looking for a property that feels less like a place to stay and more like a secret you’ve been let in on, we all know that the ultra-luxury brand Aman is it.
And in a first-of-its-kind move, Aman has announced its exclusive branded residences in Saudi Arabia. Named Amansamar, it will be situated in the heart of Wadi Safar, near Diriyah’s Unesco World Heritage Site in Riyadh.
Wish to own a residence at Amansamar? Here’s what you can expect.
The property will embody the hotel brand’s DNA of peace, privacy, and unparalleled service.
Each serene abode will consist of five to six bedrooms and be located on plots ranging from 9,000 square metres, offering breathtaking cliff views and uninterrupted vistas of the desert terrain.
For the fortunate few, Amansamar will feel like an escape from the chaos of Riyadh – a personal sanctuary of solace.
The design concept, led by long-term Aman collaborator Jean-Michel Gathy of Denniston Architects, will combine influences from historic Najdi architecture with Aman’s signature minimalist style.
Featuring bespoke furnishings crafted from natural materials, subtle patterns, and metallic accents, Amansamar will celebrate local culture and heritage, while the spirit of the local community shapes a resort that flows with the wadis and plateaus.
The name Amansamar combines the Sanskrit word for peace and the Arabic word ‘samar’, which signifies shared connections in the evening – a fitting identity for the project.
The name also means ‘the peaceful acacia tree,’ symbolising resilience and peace, renowned for thriving in arid landscapes. Consequently, one notable feature will be the presence of acacia trees throughout the property.
Of course, what is an Aman property without its stunning amenities? Residents will enjoy access to Wadi Safar’s Royal Signature Golf Course, designed by Greg Norman, as well as polo and equestrian facilities that integrate seamlessly into the desert landscape.
There will also be several dining venues, a Racquet Club, multiple pools, and a Kids’ Club. The icing on the cake? The Aman Spa, complete with hammam and banya houses and hydrotherapy facilities.
Residents will also have privileged entry to the Residence Club, a private sanctuary that offers wellness, dining, and relaxation, as well an invitation to join the global Aman Club.
Amansamar is part of the larger Wadi Safar development. Besides the residences, the development will also include an 80-room Aman hotel.
Devoted Aman fans, gather round.
