Following the huge success of the first edition of the Riyadh Film Music Festival in July 2023, the Royal Commission for Riyadh City announced the launch of the second edition of this unique festival in the capital. Welcome to the Riyadh Film Music Festival 2025.
Happening from July 30 to August 9 at the Red Hall in Princess Nourah University, this new edition of the festival is a unique opportunity for film and music lovers to enjoy an immersive experience, where all your favourite films meet live music in an atmosphere brimming with creativity and inspiration.

The festival will bring together renowned film composers from around the world. The Riyadh Film Music Festival is one of the key initiatives under the Lifestyle Sector of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City.
Offering a unique cinematic and musical experience that combines full screenings of iconic films with live performances by the orchestra, the performances will be conducted by Maestro Ernst Van Tiel and feature more than 80 musicians on stage.
A spectacular live show that brings legendary cinematic moments to life through powerful orchestral music. The second edition of the festival is actually happening as part of the events held in conjunction with the Esports World Cup.

The event kicks off with the film Air Force: Maverick, which immerses us in the adventures of the legendary pilot “Maverick” with thrilling dramatic photography. The screenings will take place from July 30 to August 2, featuring live music to capture the passion of music in cinema.
Next, hearts will return to childhood with The Lion King from August 1 to August 2. Touching scenes of exciting adventures will be combined with the breathtaking music created by Hans Zimmer. The film will be shown in Arabic on Fridays, and in English with Arabic subtitles on Saturdays.
On August 5 and August 6, the amazing journey of time will continue with Back to the Future. Music will transport us to past worlds as audiences witness the adventures of Martin McFly and Dr. Brown. The film will be shown in its original version, accompanied by Alan Silvestri’s timeless score, making this experience reminiscent of the birth of cinematic science fiction, full of energy and adventure.
Finally, get ready to enjoy the music of Captain Jack Sparrow’s adventures in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Black Pearl with the legendary track “He’s A Pirate.” Performances will take place on August 7 and August 8, offering audiences an immersive maritime experience with famous musical pieces performed live.
