The first-of-its-kind Riyadh Cake Picnic is happening this November
It’s the city’s first indoor cake festival-meets-social gathering
If you’re anything like me, you enjoy scrolling on TikTok way more than you should, and I think I’ve found the right side for me, and it is, of course, on the foodie end of things. And recently, cake picnics have been going viral all over foodtok. Now, Riyadh gets a slice. Welcome to Riyadh Cake Picnic.
Happening on Saturday November 22, at 1pm, the Riyadh Cake Picnic is the city’s first indoor cake festival-meets-social gathering.

Now, normally, these cake picnics happen outdoors in parks, but since that is practically impossible in Riyadh (but we already knew that), it’s happening indoors.
Walk in and you’ll be welcomed into an air-conditioned space bursting with the smell of fresh cakes. Whether you’re a baker, a lover of cake (like me), the Riyadh Cake Picnic is where the city’s cake lovers (and who doesn’t love cake?) come together for a delicious day out, without the summer heat.
The cake picnic will be filled with rows of talented bakers displaying their most beautiful creations, long tables of irresistible slices, and all you need to do? Grab a spoon and dig in.
Tickets for bakers
Whether you’re a home baker, professional pastry chef, or cake artist, the first-ever Riyadh Cake Picnic is the place to be. Tickets for bakers cost SAR100. Make your best cake, meet fellow bakers, and maybe by the end of the day, your creation will be the crowd favourite of the day.
Tickets for tasters
Cake lovers, step on up; this is the ultimate heaven on earth for you and your taste buds. At SAR200, you can enjoy unlimited tastings of hundreds of cakes in the room.
Tickets for kiddos
You can’t go to a cake tasting and not bring the kiddos along. Make a family day out of it and enjoy endless cake, refreshing drinks, and a lively indoor atmosphere. For children under the age of 15, tickets cost just SAR50.
