The Horse Racing Club has announced that the Riyadh Racing Season 2025-2026 will begin on Thursday October 16, and end on Saturday February 14.
The season will see several major championships, including the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cups, the qualifying round for the Saudi Cup 2026 on Saturday January 17, 2026, and the Crown Prince Cup, which is expected to be held on Friday December 5.
That’s not all, though. The capital will also see the Kings and Princes Cup Festival which will be happening from Friday December 26 to Saturday December 27, as well as the second edition of the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Humanitarian Foundation Festival starting on Friday January 16, 2026.
Other local races happening include the Cup of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and the Princess Seetah bint Fahd Al-Damer Cup, which will also be happening on Friday December 5.
For the first time, the support races of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Salman bin Abdulaziz for locally produced horses will move from King Khalid Square in Taif to be held at King Abdulaziz Square in Riyadh on October 31, 2025, which is dedicated to two-year-old foals and yearlings.
All of this is part of 50 racing ceremonies for purebred Arabian horses and thoroughbred horses, ending with the richest event in the world, the Saudi Cup, from February 13 to February 14, 2026.
