Jeddah ranks second in Arab cities on the Quality of Life index

The Red Sea city has made the Numbeo list

Jeddah is known for its vibrancy, incredible people, and is overall one of the best places to live in Saudi Arabia (trust me, I’ve been wanting to move there for so long). Now, data has proven what I knew to be true all along. This is where Jeddah ranks on the Quality of Life Index.

According to data from Numbeo, which allows users to view, share, and compare information about cities worldwide, per Arab News, Jeddah is actually the highest-ranked Saudi Arabian city.

Jeddah ranks on the Quality of Life Index

On the global Quality of Life Index by Numbeo, the Red Sea city has ranked 74th in the 2025 edition, according to data, and is second in the Arab world after Muscat, Oman.

The success is attributed to several wonderful projects delivered by The Jeddah Municipality that are reshaping the city’s urban landscape, most notably the five waterfronts designed to make the sea a daily part of city life, as reported by the Saudi Press Authority.

The new developments feature walking and cycling paths, public squares, children’s play areas, aesthetic sculptures, and various service facilities such as restaurants, cafés, rest areas, and marine platforms that make the city a wonderful place to live.

The projects also include ongoing beach maintenance programs to ensure cleanliness, protect the marine environment, and raise public awareness about the importance of preserving these natural assets.

To add to an already incredible city, the municipality has opened over 445 parks across the city, with gorgeous walkways contributing to a healthier, more active lifestyle.
