Shura Links, Saudi Arabia’s first island golf course, is now open for play
Score a round of golf at this pristine course
Grab your clubs and hop in the buggy – one of golf’s most eagerly anticipated course openings has arrived. Shura Links, Saudi Arabia’s first island golf course, is now open on Shura Island at The Red Sea.
Designed by renowned golf course architect Brian Curley and managed by Golf Saudi, the par-72, 7,400-yard course provides a unique blend of sporting challenge, ease of play, and coastal sophistication.
It’s a course designed to challenge seasoned pros from the tournament tees, yet the ‘find-your-ball’ theme remains welcoming for those trying golf for the first time.
Most notably, it is surrounded by 11 of Shura Island’s world-class hotels. All 18 holes meander through mangroves and sculpted dunes before drifting along the shimmering shoreline of the Red Sea. Imagine teeing off in such a breathtaking backdrop.

The highlight of the island golf course? Its beachfront clubhouse. A lively centre for golfers and visitors alike, it serves as the social hub at Shura Links. The clubhouse, inspired by native flora and fauna, offers panoramic views of the 18th green and features elevated dining (you can choose between the terrace or by the pool), retail, and relaxation areas designed to enhance the visitor experience.
Beyond its pristine fairways and greens, Shura Links offers much more. Among its top amenities are a family-friendly adventure putting course, an expansive grass practice range and putting green, a fully grassed short game area, a pro shop featuring leading brands, accessories, and Shura Links merchandise, and much more.
