Saudi Arabia announces that all visa holders can now perform Umrah

The news was just announced

If you’re a Muslim travelling to Saudi Arabia, you’ll be happy to know that the country has confirmed that holders of any and all kinds of visas will now be able to travel to Makkah to perform the holy pilgrimage. This is what we know about Saudi Arabia announcing that tourists can perform Umrah on all visas.

Confirmed by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah via X (formerly Twitter), the clarification clearly states that “you can perform Umrah rituals with any type of entry visa.”

All you need to travel is a valid visa and a permit from the Nusuk app, and you’re all good to perform Umrah and your prayers at the Grand Mosque. You will also need a special permit to pray in Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah.

Previously, you would need a special Umrah visa whose validity lasts three months to travel to Makkah. The visa allowed pilgrims to enter Saudi Arabia via Riyadh or Jeddah and travel to Makkah.

You can perform Umrah on all visas, including:

  • Personal and Family Visit Visas
  • Transit/Stopover Visas
  • Work Visas
  • Tourist eVisas
  • And all other visas too

For a more seamless journey, you should visit the Nusuk platform, select a package that’s suitable for you, and get your Umrah visa ASAP.
