The Comeback undercard in Jeddah starts strong with Britain’s Hamza Sheeraz defending the World Boxing Organisation (WBO) super middleweight title against Germany’s Simon Zachenhuber.
Followed by Britain’s Josh Kelly, who’s putting his IBF light middleweight title on the line as he faces off against Ireland’s undefeated Kawemen Aguiarko in a fight that combines the world champion’s experience with the ambition of a competitor seeking to write a new chapter in his professional career.
The evening will also witness the return of Japanese boxer Rito Tsutsumi in Riyadh after his appearance at the Samurai Night in Riyadh last December. He’ll be facing off against Alvino Herrera in a non-title junior lightweight bout on the undercard
Olympic gold medallist, Ukrainian Oleksandr Khiznyak, will also be fighting his second professional bout when he faces Frenchman Lenny Patrache in a new chapter in his transition to the world of boxing after a successful career in Olympic and amateur competitions.
Britain’s Mikey Tallon makes his first appearance in the Kingdom against Venezuela’s Orlando Pinotl, followed closely by India’s Nishant Dev, bronze medallist at the Paris 2024 Olympics, who continues his professional career against Peruvian Cesar Diaz.
Among the most anticipated matches is also the bout between Poland’s Pawel August and Denmark’s Jakob Bank
It’s not international names on the card, though, as the tournament will see several Saudi boxers representing the Kingdom on their home ground. Mohammed Al-Aql returns to the ring to face Maltese boxer Laydon Cherkob. Ziyad Al-Mayouf will be taking on Mexican boxer Frank Mango; and Sultan Al-Mohammed will be taking on Spanish Efrain Bisaldoch in a new step towards developing the presence of Saudi boxing at the international level.
Lastly, the evening will also see Egyptian boxers like Omar Heikal and Mohamed Mabrouk face Spanish boxing legend Brian Castellano and Colombian Brian Zapata, respectively.
Whether you’re a long-time boxing fan or simply want to experience one of the Kingdom’s biggest sporting events of the season, now is the time to book your seat.
