Meow you're talking: The Cat Show is coming back to Riyadh

The cat’s out of the bag

If you own a cat or know someone who does, you’re in luck. The first event of its kind in the Kingdom, the Cat Show 2025 in Riyadh, will be happening soon.

Happening from Tuesday November 25 to Wednesday November 26, the International Cat Show returns to Riyadh as part of the Pet Expo. The event is organised by the World Cat Federation (WCF) in collaboration with the Felinology Bulgarian Union (FBU).

The Cat Show 2025 in Riyadh will be taking over the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Centre. Participants will be judged based on precise standards, including breed, colour, and date of birth. Judging points will be distributed according to body type, head, ears, eyes, and hair. Categories include longhair, semi-longhair, shorthair, siamese/oriental, and hairless breeds

Tickets are already on sale for SAR50.

Can you enter your cat?

Short answer: yes, you can. The requirements are as follows:

  • Your cat must be at least 12 weeks old and vaccinated
  • Vaccination certificates are required under Saudi regulations.
  • Cats be well-groomed, natural, clean, and elegant—lion cuts, collars, and decorative styles are prohibited.
  • Entry fee per cat costs SAR150, but discounts are available if you register more than one cat.
