This is when the Riyadh Marathon Festival 2026 is happening

There’s still time to get in tip-top shape

Riyadh, look alive; it’s time to run. The Riyadh Marathon is coming back this January, and this time around, it’s a full-blown three-day affair. This is everything we know about the Riyadh Marathon Festival 2026.

Hosted by the Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA), the marathon will be happening from Wednesday January 28 to Saturday January 31 at Mayadeen in Diriyah.

The marathon will also feature an incredible Riyadh Marathon village, complete with food trucks, music, fitness activities, and entertainment suitable for all ages.

The exact date for the races hasn’t been revealed just yet, but stay tuned to What’s On Saudi Arabia for the latest.

Marathon details

The Riyadh Marathon 2026 consists of four different races:

  • Full Marathon (42-kilometres): Open to participants aged 20 and above
  • Half Marathon (21-kilometres): Open to participants aged 18 and above
  • The 10-kilometre race: Open to participants aged 17 and above
  • Lastly, the “fun-run”five-kilometre race: Open to all people and children of all ages (an adult must accompany children)

Prices last year

Last year, the Riyadh Marathon tickets cost SAR62 for the four-kilometre race, SAR85 for the 10-kilometre race, SAR119 for the 21-kilometre race, and for the main event, the 42-kilometre race will cost SAR149.

If you have a running buddy, you can register as a duo and pay SAR59 for the four-kilometre race, SAR79 for the 10-kilometre race, and SAR109 for the 21-kilometre race.

Prices for this year haven’t been revealed just yet, but they’re expected to be around the same ballpark.
