The skies await: Tickets to the Sand and Fun 2025 show have just gone live

If the regular degular festivals and concerts don’t seem to be up your alley, try the road less travelled by and head out to Sand and Fun 2025. Also called the General Aviation Airshow (only a tad less glamorous, we know), the event offers a little something for everyone.
Happening from Tuesday November 25 to Saturday 29 at Al Thumamah Airport in Riyadh, the airshow aims to draw over 200,000 visitors to enjoy the entertainment zones built for adults and kiddos alike.
What to expect
Sand and Fun 2025 will be offering a ton of activities to look forward to
- Aerial shows: The show is set to welcome over 90 dazzling air displays, including performances by the Saudi and global teams, and specialised nightly shows lighting up the Riyadh sky.
- Static displays: There will also be cool static displays that offer a unique and direct experience for aviation enthusiasts, allowing visitors to get up close with a collection of iconic aircraft and explore their complex details firsthand. Visitors can also look forward to interacting with pilots and engineers, learning the secrets of the aviation world.

- Hangar Talks: These will involve conversations with elite experts and Saudi astronauts to discuss the future of sustainable general aviation and advanced technologies such as electric vertical take-off and landing aircrafts (eVTOLs), autonomous aircrafts, and artificial intelligence applications.
- Aviatainment Zone: The zone is dedicated to “learning through wonder,” offering virtual reality simulators, workshops for building aircraft models and engines, and interactive cockpit tours with pilots and experts.
Tickets
Tickets for the event are already on sale and cost SAR400 for a bronze all-day pass, SAR600 for a silver all-day pass, and SAR1,200 for a gold all-day pass. And then it’s SAR100 for a bronze one-day pass, SAR150 for a single silver pass, and SAR300 for a single gold pass. Book here.
