Qatar Airways to add more flights to Riyadh and Jeddah

The expansion was announced at TOURISE

It’s been big and busy here in Riyadh, with major hotel deals getting signed (I mean, an Atlantis Jeddah? Come on now), dream theme park opening dates being announced (hi Six Flags), and so much more, and it’s all thanks to TOURISE. To add on to the fun, there will now be even more Qatar Airways flights to Riyadh and Jeddah.

The announcement came during the Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Eng. Badr Mohammed Al Meer’s panel discussion, “Tourism Rising: A New Era of Influence and Impact,” at the summit.

Qatar Airways

Effective January 5, 2026, Qatar Airways will serve 13 Saudi cities with more than 150 weekly flights and connect the Kingdom to over 170 destinations worldwide.

Ha’il is set to become the 13th destination for the airline in Saudi Arabia. Qatar Airways will be launching three weekly flights to Hail and will also increase flights to Jeddah (JED) and Riyadh (RUH) from six to seven daily flights.

The new announcement follows a strong year of operational growth for Qatar Airways in Saudi Arabia, according to the Qatar News Agency, including the resumption of flights to Abha earlier this year and the launch of services to The Red Sea in October, making the airline the first international carrier to connect The Red Sea to over 170 global destinations.

Eng. Badr Mohammed Al Meer said: “At Qatar Airways, we are proud to see our presence continually grow in both scale and significance across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Our network now spans every major region of the Kingdom, and over the past 12 months, we have connected nearly 2.5 million passengers in the Kingdom to our global network.”

With the new flights, the airline will be operating more than 150 weekly flights to and from Saudi Arabia, and also be connecting the country to 170 global destinations through the airline’s Doha hub, Hamad International Airport.
