Saudia Flight Pass: How the airline subscription is making local travel cheaper

It’s perfect for local travellers

Local travel is about to be made so much easier with the launch of Saudia Airlines’ Flight Pass. The national carrier is rolling out a brand-new subscription service for domestic flyers in the country to lock in fares on popular routes for the entire year. Subscribing to the Saudia Flight Pass will also give you access to several other benefits; read on to find out more.

Launching just this month, the Saudia Flight Pass is a flight subscription program that lets you travel to your favourite destination for a competitive price.

At SAR349 every three months, you can book a bundle of domestic flights and fly at a cheaper rate, but here’s the tricky bit: you’d need to pick a single route to fly to and from for the whole year (big commitment, we know).

How it works

According to Condé Nast Traveller, eight trips a year between Riyadh and Jeddah would cost SAR2,549 (USD680) when paid annually, while 24 trips would cost SAR6,549 (USD1,746)—cutting the price per one-way flight to just SAR319 (USD85) and SAR273 (USD73), respectively.

The benefits

After you’ve subscribed to the program, you can look forward to the following benefits:

  • A wide range of routes: Select one of the available direct domestic routes and subscribe to travel to your favourite destination
  • Competitive prices: Secure your tickets at prices lower than the Guest Basic fares, guaranteed for a full year.
  • There’s a flexible booking period: You can book your trip between subscription renewal and up to 3 days before departure.
  • Tailored payments: You can either pay quarterly to receive two, four, or six trips per quarter or pay yearly to unlock eight, 16 or 24 trips upfront.

The terms and conditions

The flight pass covers the domestic network for direct flights except for the following destinations: Dawadmi, Neom, Rafha, Red Sea, and Wadi Al Dawaser. ¹Based on average prices. The subscription does not guarantee that the flight will always cost less than the equivalent Guest Basic price. Promotional prices are valid for the first year only. Renewal subscriptions will follow the standard rates. Flights must be booked at least three days before the departure date.

How to join

  1. First, you choose your preferred route and discover the subscription plan that fits your travel needs.
  2. Next, choose whether to fly between eight and 24 times a year and the payment frequency.
  3. Sign up and choose the payment plan and method that works best for you.
  4. Log in, search for flights, pay only the taxes during booking, and sit back and enjoy your trip
