The Riyadh Music Week returns on this date
It’s about to get really loud
Next month, we’re looking forward to welcoming Riyadh’s loudest time of year, and while we thought it only included XP Music Futures and Soundstorm, we stand corrected. On the sidelines of the two major events, the Riyadh Music Week 2025 will be taking over to keep us busy and entertained, musically, of course.
Kicking off on Thursday December 4, and running until Saturday December 13, the Riyadh Music Week 2025 will start and end with MDLBEAST’s coveted events and host a ton of musical events in between.
Riyadh Music Week 2025
MDLBEAST XP Music Futures 2025 is an annual three-day music conference that precedes MDLBEAST’s biggest event of the year, Soundstorm. The conference aims to build the foundation for a thriving local music industry centred on four main points: talent, scene, impact, and innovation. The conference will begin on Thursday December 4 and end on Saturday December 6.
December 7 to 8
On Sunday December 7, Riyadh will be hosting Takyah, a gathering in the desert designed to connect international industry leaders with local partners through cultural exchanges, networking, and activities. Starting from Sunday December 7, the city will also be welcoming Fringe Events. Spread across multiple neighbourhoods, Fringe celebrates emerging artists and independent venues, inviting the public to explore new sounds. Locations and timings for these events are yet to be announced, but stay tuned to What’s On Saudi Arabia for the latest. These events will end on Wednesday December 10.
For the very first time, Riyadh will also be welcoming the Billboard Arabia Power Players celebration, an international ceremony recognising the individuals shaping the future of Arabic music, culture, and entertainment, on Monday December 8.
December 9 to 10
As part of the festival, Saudi Arabia’s very own Tamtam will be performing in the gorgeous Jax District on Tuesday December 9. Think Arabic pop, trap arrangements, and alternative R&B, all shaped by wildly varied influences.
On December 9 and 10, Bohemia Records will be taking over the festival with Wax Head, featuring all-day DJ sets, listening stations, and real-time vinyl sampling with a special DJ guest. During the same days, the Riyadh Music Hub will be hosting the Music Makers Summit, placing creators at the heart of the conversation, uniting policymakers, educators, and industry leaders to explore the frameworks needed for a thriving music future in Saudi Arabia.
Over at the King Fahad Cultural Centre, the Riyadh Music Festival 2025 will be hosting the International Music Managers Forum that celebrates the innovators and strategists who drive artistic careers and the wider music business.
December 11 to 13
The time we all not-so-patiently wait for every year, the Riyadh Music Week 2025, culminates in MDLBEAST’s Soundstorm. And this year’s edition may be the biggest one yet. The Soundstorm 2025 lineup has shaped up to be one of the best we’ve seen. The likes of Tyla, Post Malone, Benson Boone, Halsey, Cardi B, and so many more A-listers have been announced.
