If you've been noticing more art around Riyadh, this is why
Riyadh’s public spaces are getting an artistic upgrade, with sculptures from the Tuwaiq Sculpture Symposium now part of the city’s permanent landscape
The next time you’re out and about in Riyadh, be sure to take a moment to look around. You might start noticing art woven into the city’s streets and squares.

Riyadh Art has announced the permanent installation of 14 sculptures from the Tuwaiq Sculpture Symposium, bringing cool, eye-catching art to Riyadh’s busiest spots. The striking sculptures have been placed across several prominent locations, including Roshn Front, SEDRA Community (Roshn), and Sports Boulevard.
More locations will be revealed at a later stage, meaning this citywide art trail is just getting started.
From stone to streets
These artworks form part of Riyadh Art’s permanent collection, comprising sculptures and pieces created by talented local and international artists from past Tuwaiq Sculpture Symposiums.

Originating from raw stone sourced in Saudi Arabia, each piece has been transformed into an expressive sculpture that adds character and a touch of creativity to the city’s public spaces.
According to Eng. Khaled Alhazani, Executive Vice President for the Lifestyle Sector at the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, this initiative reflects Riyadh Art’s vision to integrate beauty and creativity into the city’s urban fabric. The idea is simple, really – to turn everyday public spaces into vibrant, culture-filled spots where art isn’t just something you visit in a gallery, but it’s something you experience naturally as part of your daily life.

In doing so, Riyadh continues its transformation into an open-air gallery, where art plays a central role in shaping the city’s identity, enhancing quality of life, and strengthening the cultural economy.
And the best part? You don’t need a ticket or a plan to enjoy it. So, the next time you’re wandering the city, keep your eyes open. You might stumble on a sculpture that stops you in your tracks or nails the perfect Instagram moment.
