The Esports World Cup 2026 dates have just been revealed

The largest global competition of its kind is making its much-awaited return to Riyadh this summer. That’s right, the Esports World Cup 2026 is happening this summer with a new variety of game titles. teams, and possibly new concerts (but more on that later). These are the Esports World Cup 2026 dates.

The Esports World Cup 2026 will kick off on Monday July 6, and we’re expecting a big show of it through a wonderful opening ceremony as per usual (keep checking back for updates on that, though). The massive event will go on until Sunday August 23.

Previously known as Gamers8, this is the third time the Esports World Cup returns to the capital with its new name and bigger identity. Set to be the largest event in esports history, the World Cup will once again feature the world’s best clubs and leading titles.

Alongside the return of the Esports World Cup, we always welcome back AFT_r, the coveted post-gaming concerts we all know and love that feature all the best rappers, singers, and DJs. Previously, the concerts have featured the likes of Metro Boomin, Quavo, Central Cee, Lost Frequencies, Don Diablo, R3HAB, Black Eyed Peas, and more. At this time, no artists have been confirmed, nor has the return of AFT_r just yet. But stay tuned to What’s On Saudi Arabia for the latest.

Also happening in 2026: the Esports Nations Cup

The Esports Nations Cup is set to be a landmark tournament where the best of the best Esports players in the world will compete not only for professional glory with their clubs but also for the honour of representing their countries.

The new tournament will be hosted every two years, providing a dependable structure for players, coaches, and esports organisations. The very first one will be hosted in Riyadh in November 2026, before turning to a host model that moves from country to country, bringing national esports teams to fans and cultures worldwide.
