Singapore Airlines is restarting Riyadh-Singapore flights from June 2026
Honestly, it’s about time
Living away from home teaches you one thing: direct flights aren’t just convenient. They’re comforting.
And as a Singaporean living in Riyadh, I can officially say I’m thrilled – because Singapore Airlines (SIA) is restarting direct flights between Riyadh and Singapore from June 2026, with the first flight scheduled for Tuesday June 2. The airline will return to the Saudi capital after a 12-year absence, with four times-weekly nonstop flights.
For anyone based in Riyadh with Singapore on their wish list (or their heart), this is the sort of update that makes all the difference. No complicated connections. No layover roulette. No arriving exhausted after 16 airport coffees and one questionable sandwich. Just a direct route to one of the world’s best cities.

Whether you’re planning a proper holiday or a “I need a reset” escape, Singapore hits every time. Think: steamy hawker centre dinners, long walks through Gardens by the Bay, shopping that somehow turns into steps-on-steps-on-steps, and that unbeatable feeling of sitting by the water at Marina Bay when the city lights come on.
Plus, it’s the kind of place where your itinerary can be delightfully chaotic – breakfast in a café, lunch in a food court, dinner at a Michelin-starred restaurant, and still time for a late-night stroll through the city because everything just works.
What will the flight schedule be?
Curious about the new flight schedule on Singapore Airlines? Flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Flight SQ499 departs King Khalid International Airport at 11pm, landing in Singapore at 12.15pm the following day – a smooth 8-hour and 15-minute journey.
The return SQ498 will depart Singapore Changi Airport at 6.20pm local time and arrive in Riyadh at 9.45pm the same evening.

However, from Sunday October 25, timings will adjust slightly for the winter season, with departures from Riyadh at 10.50pm and from Singapore at 5.40pm.
Singapore’s national carrier will operate the medium-haul variant of its Airbus A350-900, configured with 303 seats, including 40 in business class and 263 in economy class.
Riyadh will be the SIA Group’s second destination in Saudi Arabia, the other being a four-times-weekly service to Jeddah operated by its low-cost subsidiary Scoot.
Tickets for the flights will be progressively made available for sale through the airline’s various distribution channels.
So, if you’re in Riyadh and have been waiting for an excuse to finally book that trip to Singapore, here it is. And if you’re like me and you’ve been craving a taste of home… June 2026 can’t come soon enough.
