The Ministry of Interior has started the processing of the status of expired visa holders (all types, including Umrah, visit, transit, and final exit). So, if you’ve been waiting for an update for expired Saudi visa holders, you’ve come to the right place.
For holders of visas that expired as of February 25 who were unable to exit the country due to the current regional developments, the Ministry of Interior has announced two options as part of the update for expired Saudi visa holders.

These include:
Option 1
- Visas whose expiry corresponds to February 25 (Ramadan 8) can be extended upon request of the visitor’s host until April 18 (Dhu Al-Qidah 1) after payment of the prescribed statutory fees via the Absher platform.
Option 2
- Holders of expired visas (all types, including Umrah, transit, and final exit) as of February 25 (Ramadan 8) are permitted to depart directly through international ports without extending their visas or paying any overstay fines.

The host can benefit from this service by logging into their account on the Absher platform, selecting “My Services,” then “Passports,” and choosing “Tawasul.” Then, they should submit a new request, specify the department and service, fill in the data, and attach the required documents.
The Ministry of Interior has urged all beneficiaries of these royal directives to initiate their departure before April 18 (Dhu Al-Qidah 1) to avoid the application of the Kingdom’s applicable regulations againsts violators.
