Is this the year Al-Nassr bring it home?
With Al-Nassr leading the standings, the title is no longer just a long shot
Al-Nassr have climbed to the top of the Saudi Pro League table, and suddenly the title race feels wide open.
After seasons of near misses and high expectations, the Riyadh-based club now finds itself in a strong position, with momentum building at just the right moment.
For now, things are going Al-Nassr’s way. After Matchday 27 saw both Al-Hilal and Al-Qadsiah drop points, Al-Nassr remains comfortably at the top of the table on 70 points, giving them a strong chance to win their first league title since 2019.

There’s no denying Cristiano Ronaldo‘s influence. Since joining Al Nassr, he has contributed goals, leadership, and a winning mentality that have helped elevate the overall standard.
But what makes this run feel different is that it’s no longer simply about one name.
The supporting cast has stepped up, performances appear more cohesive, and the team seems much more balanced across the pitch.
It’s this shared confidence – rather than individual brilliance alone – that quietly drives their pursuit of the title.
But the road to the title won’t be straightforward.

Three of Al-Nassr’s remaining fixtures are against fellow top-four contenders, including clashes with Al-Hilal, Al-Ahli Saudi FC, and Al-Qadsiah – all within a tight period towards the end of the season.
There are also challenging matches against city rivals Al-Shabab FC (Riyadh) and an unpredictable fixture against Al-Ettifaq, a team that has caused issues before.
Earlier in the season, Al-Nassr struggled against this same group of opponents, dropping valuable points. A repeat could quickly tighten the standings, especially with the chasing pack only a few results away from closing the gap.
While Al-Nassr remain the league’s highest scorers, many of their slip-ups this season have occurred against direct rivals – something they’ll need to avoid during this pivotal period.
Away from the pitch, you can feel the excitement mounting in Riyadh. Every result suddenly carries more significance as the run-in begins, with fans watching eagerly to see whether Al-Nassr can maintain their position.
