The new high-power fuel was introduced earlier this year
Saudi Aramco has revved up the local fuel market with the launch of its new 98-octane petrol, scheduled to hit the market this month. The move comes in response to local market needs identified by the Ministry of Energy, offering drivers, particularly sports car enthusiasts, a high-performance fuel option without disrupting existing products.
The new gasoline grade has been added to Aramco’s fuel portfolio without affecting existing fuel products, offering consumers additional options while responding to growing demand for specialised fuels, particularly for high-performance vehicles.

How to choose the right fuel for your car
Diesel is used in various cars, especially for heavy-duty tasks like towing (trucks, large SUVs, and pickups). PG91 and PG95 gasoline are suitable for all vehicles, while PG98 gasoline is an additional option for high-performance and sports vehicles. If you’re not sure of your vehicle’s correct octane rating, check the owner’s manual or ask the manufacturer or dealer where you purchased the vehicle. Sometimes, the recommended fuel can be found on a sticker inside the filling cap.
